Wycombe Wanderers Sports & Education Trust are always looking for new and talented coaches to join our well-established community coaching team. This is your opportunity to share your experience and knowledge to make a contribution to your the local community. The Sessional Community Coach will be responsible for coaching football and/or multi-sports and developing children of all abilities, mainly in the 4-12 age group, whilst supporting the Activity Programme Manager with maintaining & building strong relationships with our current school/club partners in Buckinghamshire.

Candidates for the role must be enthusiastic, energetic, reliable, have excellent communication skills, and have previous experience of football or sport delivery within a school setting.

The role will mainly involve delivering the following:

After school clubs (delivered between 3pm-5pm)
Curriculum time sessions (delivered between 1pm – 3pm)
Holiday courses (delivered between 10am-3pm during half terms and school holidays)

Job Description & Person Specification:

– Plan, organise and deliver high-quality sessions across all existing and future programmes
– To develop strong and long lasting links with schools and grass roots clubs achieved by ensuring that the level of WWSET service delivery is of the very highest standard.
– Devise activities that ensure individuals and groups of participants are motivated, stretched and challenged at appropriate levels across all programmes.


1 FA Level 1 Football Coach (FA Level 2 desirable)
2 FA First Aid Level 1 (Introduction to First Aid in Football)
3 FA Safeguarding Children Certificate
4 AfPE Level 3: Supporting PE & School Sport (Desirable but not essential)

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

1 Experience of planning and delivering football or multi-sports coaching sessions
2 Experience working with young people
3 Experience of using a range of strategies to engage various groups of learners
4 Excellent organisational skills
5 Experience working in a school environment
6 Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
7 Outstanding customer service skills
8 Ability to work without constant supervision
9 Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues

1 Driving licence and access to a car with insurance for business use

Rate of Pay: £15-25 per session (dependant on qualifications & experience)
