03 Aug WWSET need your help
As you may already be aware the Wycombe Wanderers Sports & Education Trust (the charitable arm of the club) are presently delivering the fantastic and increasingly popular GET ACTIVE @ ADAMS PARK health improvement programme, in the form of group exercise sessions each Wednesday lunchtime pitch-side at Wycombe Wanderers’ home ground
These sessions are being run as part of the wider Bucks County Council “Active Bucks” project which aspires to help all Bucks residents lead happier, healthier lives. There are a whole host of fun and inspiring activities taking place across Buckinghamshire; on days, evenings and weekends, throughout the year, all of which were formulated following information gathered via the 2015 Bucks Active Peoples Survey.
In order to add to the previously gained survey results and to increase knowledge that can help shape future service provision the Bucks County Council Active Bucks Team, in partnership with WWSET, would like to gauge the thoughts and opinions of a group of male Wycombe Wanderers fans on the subject of barriers that prevent sports/activity participation. These barriers could be anything from not enough time during the week, lack of motivation, lack of money to participate, lack of awareness of opportunities to participate or a whole array of other reasons.
To do this the club and WWSET need your help…
If you are aged between 25 – 45 years old it would be great if you could spare around 30 – 45 minutes of your time before the first home game of the season to get involved in a relaxed group discussion and give your thoughts on what may be stopping you from increasing your levels of physical activity.
Please take a look at the details below and email email@example.com to register your involvement.
Date: Sat 13th August
Time: 1.30pm – 2.15pm (latest)
Venue: WWSET office @ Adams Park
Participants: Males aged 25 – 45 years old
Format: Relaxed group discussion
Further Information: Tea/coffee plus a FREE 1 day pass for Wycombe Leisure Centre provided for all attendees
Wycombe Wanderers FC are a community focused club and proudly support this initiative which will hopefully help service providers including our own Sports & Education Trust to gain a better understanding of levels and reasons for lack of physical activity and what can be done to improve the current situation. We therefore hope that you won’t hesitate to get involved, and thank you in advance for your help.
