The Gerrards Cross Youth Club
Volunteers Needed Urgently
The club has been running for many years, and since 2015 has been in partnership with Wycombe Wanderers Sport and Education Trust. This partnership has provided continuity through the provision of properly qualified youth workers and has delivered stability in the day to day running of club sessions.
Today, the serious issue facing the Club is its management. The Management Committee has for some time been under-resourced, most of its members having little or no experience or qualifications in youth affairs. The continued operation of the club is dependent on having a Management Committee with the skills and drive to take the Club forward. We need new members to fill key roles, including Secretary, to carry out activities including Marketing and Communication/Media, and, in time, to fill the role of Chairperson. We need to have a Committee comprised of five or six motivated and qualified individuals who are willing to give some of their time to move the Club to a higher level. While the club currently runs at an acceptable level of professionalism its management must be upgraded. Otherwise, its future is in serious doubt.

There will be a meeting to discuss ways forward for the Club, provisionally planned to be held on Tuesday 11th July at the Gerrards Cross Memorial Centre at 18:00. Please put this in your diary if you can help.
