30 Oct PLAYERS JOIN IN AT THE SOCCER SCHOOLS!
WWSET enjoyed another fantastic week of Soccer Schools over the October break and it was made even better when we were joined by 4 of the Wycombe Wanderers FC squad over 2 of our Soccer School venues. The children were joined by Nick Freeman, Marcus Bean, Dominic Gape & Craig Mackail-Smith respectively and the players were more than happy to get stuck in with the children and their activities. After picking the players brains with some excellent questions in the player Q&A, the children were then treated to the players showing off their art skills in a game of Sporting Pictionary. It’s safe to say that some of the players should stick to the football! Afterwards, the players got involved ins some small sided games with the children and were on hand to help with the end of day presentation. And if that wasn’t enough, the players were happy to stay behind and pose for some photos as well as sign autographs for the children.
Activity Programme Manager, Andrew Homent –
“The players always represent themselves and the club fantastically well and their visits to the Soccer Schools are always a huge highlight of the week. Their willingness to get involved in whatever way needed is excellent and they really get involved with the children on the day. We look forward to welcoming many more of the players to our activities over the season and having them continue as excellent ambassadors for the club”.
