Instron Become Latest ‘Friend Of WWSET’

08 Dec Instron Become Latest ‘Friend Of WWSET’

Wycombe Wanderers Sports & Education Trust (WWSET), the official charity of Wycombe Wanderers Football Club, is delighted to announce that the latest organisation to forge links with us via our ‘Friends of WWSET’ initiative is Instron, a global leading provider of testing equipment for the material and structural testing markets, whose European Headquarters are in High Wycombe.

Instron’s products test the mechanical properties and performance of various materials, components and structures in a wide array of environments. They provide a single-source convenience by being a full-service materials testing company that manufactures and services testing instruments, systems, software and accessories.

Instron’s proficiency in designing and building testing systems to evaluate materials ranging from the most fragile filament to advanced alloys, affords Instron’s customers a comprehensive resource for all their research, quality and service-life testing requirements.

Instron are the twelfth local organisation to pledge their support to WWSET this season via the new ‘Friends of WWSET’ initiative and further demonstrates the fact that local businesses recognise the importance of corporate social responsibility and thrive on adding social value to their local community.

When asked exactly why Instron decided to become a ‘Friend of WWSET’, Jenny Baker, the company’s HR Director for Europe, said:

“As part of our diversity and inclusion strategy, Instron look to provide links into our local community through charities and partnerships who work with diverse groups to provide access to opportunities that promote well-being, career development and community support.”

WWSET would like to place on record our thanks to Instron for becoming a ‘Friend’, and we look forward to establishing a strong and productive relationship with them over the current season and hopefully beyond, all for the benefit of the people of High Wycombe.
