KAREN ROBINSON

WWSET Trustee

Male Placeholder

Karen Robinson (nee Adams) was educated in Wycombe. After university, she worked as a social worker in Liverpool, providing services to homeless young people & adults in the city centre, as well as children, adults & families in North Liverpool.

In 1988, Karen moved to London, where she currently lives, and worked for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. For 17 years, she was based at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, managing children and families teams, and multi-disciplinary early help teams, plus forming close partnership working relationships with hospital and community paediatric and maternity services, CAMHs and adult mental health services, as well as substance use and special needs teams. As Head of Early Help, Karen also managed social inclusion initiatives before retiring in 2014.

Karen became Honorary President of Wycombe Wanderers Trust in 2008, and Director of Frank Adams Legacy Limited in 2016.

Karen is a passionate believer in enhancing children and young people’s education to give them greater opportunities in life, and the correlation between good physical health & mental health and educational achievement.
