GET ACTIVE (Disability Sessions)

Get Active is a year long physical activity project, beginning on Thursday 21st April, that is funded by ‘Heart Of Bucks’,  for people living with disabilities (18+) in the High Wycombe area. 

More specifically, the project, which has been kindly funded by ‘Heart of Bucks’, the community foundation of Buckinghamshire ( will aim to

 – Increase participants levels of physical activity 

– Improve participants physical healthy 

 – Improve participants mental health – Increase participants levels of social interaction. 

The sessions, which take place on Thursdays from 12.00pm – 1.00pm each week, will consist of a range of fun, engaging and inclusive physical activities such as puzzle based games, ball games, equipment-free games, and games that work on movements and coordination such as throwing, catching, kicking, and rolling. 

 These sessions will be held at Wycombe Leisure Centre, which is an accessible venue.  

 WWSET recognises that sport and physical activity can play an important role in the lives of people with disabilities and we are obviously keen to maximise participants at these sessions.
