GET ACTIVE (Disability Sessions)

Get Active is a year long physical activity project, beginning on September 8th, that is funded by ‘Heart Of Bucks’,  for people living with disabilities in the High Wycombe area. The project will be aiming to satisfy the following goals:

 – To Improve participants physical health

 – To Improve participants mental health

 – To Increase participants levels of social interaction

 – To Increase levels of physical activity.

The sessions will be once a week, for one hour, and will involve multi skills in order for there to be a range of engaging and inclusive physical activities.

Examples of the multi skills activities include puzzle based games, ball games, equipment-free games, and games that work on movements and coordination such as throwing, catching, kicking, and rolling.

Get Active will be held at The Hive, which can be found on Arnison Avenue. This venue is fully accessible.
