12 Nov Supporting Chiltern Toy Bank – How WWFC Fans Can Help

This Christmas, Wycombe Wanderers Sports & Education Trust (WWSET) will be working with Wycombe Wanderers Football Club to assist the Chiltern Toy Bank in their efforts to support Buckinghamshire based parents and guardians who might need a little bit of help to make Christmas special for their children.

In order to do this, we’d like to ask fans of the club who are attending the home fixtures versus Portsmouth on Sat 13th November and Bolton Wanderers on Sat 20th November to consider bringing with them a roll of Christmas wrapping paper that they’re willing to donate to the toy bank. This way, the charity is not only able to supply the families they help with presents for the children in those households, but also provide them with the means to wrap those presents.

Anybody kind enough to make a donation will be able to drop off the wrapping paper in a clearly labelled designated ‘bin’ which will be located outside the front of the club shop at both fixtures.

About Chiltern Toy Bank:

The Chiltern Toy Bank has been working in the Chesham and Amersham area for over 7 years but due to an increase in year-on-year demand for their services has more recently begun supporting some families in Wycombe. They collect unwanted toys, or generously donated new toys and redistribute them to families who need extra support at Christmas time. The incredible donations they receive from local organisations and individuals allow them to help families who may be facing financial hardship by ensuring that children don’t miss out on receiving gifts.

If you would like any more information about Chiltern Toy Bank you can check out their website at www.chilterntoybank.org or contact them via email at info@chilterntoybank.org.
