Wycombe Wanderers Sports & Education Trust are always looking for new and talented coaches to join our well-established community coaching team. This is your opportunity to share your experience and knowledge to make a contribution to your local community. We are very keen to expand our highly professional and experienced coaching team so if you feel you tick these boxes then please get in touch!

The Sessional Community Coach will be responsible for coaching football and/or multi-sports and develop children of all abilities, mainly in the 4-12 age group, whilst supporting the Activity Programme Manager with maintaining & building strong relationships with our current school/club partners in Buckinghamshire.

The role will mainly involve delivering after school clubs (ranging between 3pm-5pm), curriculum time sessions (school day) and holiday courses (10am-3pm) on the WWSET Activity Programme.

Job Requirements:

  • Applicants must have a minimum FA Level 1 in Certificate in Coaching Football and must be a member of the FA Licensed Coaches’ Club.
  • Preferably, candidates will have qualifications in coaching/delivering multi-sports, PE and school sport or within disability sports.
  • Applicants must have experience of planning and delivering coaching sessions in football/multi-sport and working with or in schools.
  • Preferably, candidates will have a full and clean driving license and their own transport as our coaches will be required to work at various locations across Buckinghamshire (primarily High Wycombe, Beaconsfield, Amersham & Chesham).

JOB TITLE:                           WWSET “Street Soccer” Coach

REPORTING TO:                                WWSET Social Inclusion Manager

LOCATION                           Cressex Astroturf High Wycombe

SALARY:                               £15 per Hour – 2 hours per week.

TIMINGS:                            6.00 – 8.00pm Saturday evenings (academic term time only)


The WWSET Street Soccer Coach will be responsible for assisting the WWSET Social Inclusion Manager deliver a youth-led football session which aims to engage young people in a productive and health pastime, and in a fun, safe and enjoyable environment.

Main Roles & Duties:

  • Ensure all participants complete a signing-in form
  • Collect participant fees
  • referee the matches
  • Encourage a fun, positive, safe, secure atmosphere
  • Communicate effectively and develop a rapport with participants
  • Assist young people to express and realise their goals
  • Positively challenge oppressive behaviour in young people
  • Provide information and support to young people
  • Enable young people to work effectively in groups
  • To monitor and record participant’s attendance and development
  • Carry out administrative duties, under the direction of the Social Inclusion Manager
  • To carry out such duties, as may be assigned by the Social Inclusion Manager, within the level of the post

This role requires an FA enhanced DBS check to be carried out.
