11 Dec Premier League Primary Stars Day Out @ Adams Park!
Last week WWSET welcomed one hundred pupils from Disraeli School to Adams Park. Disraeli has been taking part in the Premier League Primary stars program this term. Adam and Clare have been using the influence of the Premier League to engage the pupils in maths and literacy sessions, as well as mentoring teachers from the school in their PE delivery. One pupil who had taken part in the maths sessions commented…
“The lesson’s I have with Adam and Clare are the best they helped me improve with maths and helped me get some new friends to be honest with you I am really good at maths but thanks to Adam I am one of the best math stars because of you I’ve got hope to go to university. Because of you I’ve got new friends.”
To conclude their term of Primary Stars WWSET invited all year five pupils down to Adams Park to take part in four activities. These were a PSHE workshop based around teamwork and the importance of collaborating well. They also got a taste of what it’s like to be a sky sports reporter in their media workshop. Pupils conducted their very own post-match interview in front of the camera. To show off some of their skills pupils took part in a street football session, including some target practice with the matcha day inflatable. Finally, the pupils experienced a behind the scenes tour of Adams Park.
WWSET would like to thank the pupils and staff from Disraeli school over this past term and we hope you enjoyed your visit. If you would like your school to take part in our Primary stars program, please E-mail Adam at firstname.lastname@example.org
