ITS BACK! STREET LEAGUE

04 Sep ITS BACK! STREET LEAGUE

Street League, one of the longest running programs of WWSET will be back after its annual summer break. This will be the 14th year in succession that Street League is being delivered by WWSET under its Social Inclusion Program.

Street League has been catered for 16+ and has 3 core aims:

  • Provide a safe and positive Saturday evening past time
  • Using football to improve community cohesion
  • Promoting positive personal development pathways and opportunities

The new block will see WWSET increase the opportunity for even more participants to join the program as they will be having 2 age groups within the sessions, 13-15 and a 16-19 group. This is thanks to Wycombe District Council who have kindly supported the program through the Young People’s Mentoring Grant.

Last Street League annual block, WWSET delivered 714 coaching hours to 357 participants. We hope to better this in the coming year with us giving opportunity to a wider target audience to participate.

If you would like more information about Street League, please contact Aqeel Akram, WWSET Social Inclusion Manager via 01494 455734 or aqeel.akram@wwfc.com.
