A WELCOME KICKSTART: PPE DONATION TO WWSET

06 Aug A WELCOME KICKSTART: PPE DONATION TO WWSET

Activereach – a top UK cybersecurity integrator based in High Wycombe, and Netskope – a global leader in cloud security, have boosted their partnership by kindly donating much needed personal protective equipment (PPE) to WWSET.

Further to a recent period of successful joint trading, both businesses felt that it was important to give back to the community that supports them. Activereach has a formal programme of supporting local charities through good and bad times, and with the sales and marketing teams in both businesses aligned in their shared passion for grassroots football, they chose WWSET as the recipients of their donation.

Vijay Mistry, Channel Marketing Manager, Netskope, stated:

“We have worked effectively with activereach through the Covid-19 lockdown and appreciate the strength of our partnership on both a commercial and community support level. We are extremely proud to co-sponsor the donation of PPE to Wycombe Wanderers’ charitable trust and look forward to following their progress in the coming months.”

Wycombe Wanderers Sports & Education Trust is the charitable arm of Wycombe Wanderers Football Club. We engage 10s of thousands of members in the community each year with a varied and rich sports and education programme – often with a football inspired message aimed at some of the most vulnerable groups of society. We deliver in excess of 40 different community outreach projects annually that all fit into one of our 4 main priorities:

· Increase participation in sport & physical activity

· Promote health and wellbeing

· Provide education and employment opportunities

· Contribute to community inclusion & cohesion

With restrictions lifting across England, WWSET are in the process of resuming our community programmes, a move which has been enhanced by activereach and Netskope’s joint donation.

Paul Foley, Head of Wycombe Wanderers Sports & Education Trust, commented:

“We were just starting to look at how we were going to fund the PPE required to kickstart our activity when activereach and Netskope came along! We are really appreciative of their support and have used the funding to purchase masks, gloves, visors, hand sanitiser, wipes and contactless thermometers. We can’t wait to get back out there now and deliver our sessions to the community.”

Keith Archer, Commercial Director at activereach, added:

“We are delighted that we can help keep staff and the local community safe as they re-engage with Wycombe Wanderers again. As an avid Wycombe supporter, it’s a great feeling.”

Other businesses wishing to get involved with donating PPE or other items that will assist with WWSET’s programme delivery can visit our WWSET Virgin Money Giving page or the Amazon Wish List page we have set up.
