Development Centre

In addition to the Elite Centre, Wycombe Wanderers Sports & Education Trust (WWSET) also run a number of fantastically well attended Development Centre’s within the Buckinghamshire area. Each week these centre’s provide over 300 players with a great opportunity to receive professional football coaching from our FA and UEFA qualified coaches, as well as providing a clear progression into the next tier of our football structure for those individuals who show a great attitude to learning, as well as technical and tactical aptitude.

The Development Centre players train for two hours per session and like the Elite Centre’s the curriculum is based around every participant getting maximum touches of the ball to promote technical excellence. In addition to this, as well as a wide range of small sided games being played in training, the Development Centre players also compete in matches against Development Centre teams from other professional clubs, local junior clubs, and the WWSET Elite Centre teams. All of this allows players to showcase their talent and hopefully progress to the next stage of the football pyramid.

WWSET currently have Development Centre’s taking place at the following venues in the U6 to U12 age groups.

Burnham Grammar school (Slough)
Stoke Mandeville School (Aylesbury)
Cressex Astroturf (High Wycombe)
The Brunel Sports Park (Uxbridge)
Cox Green Leisure Centre (Maidenhead)
